We follow a documented process to keep calculator results accurate and current.
① Authoritative sources
Calculator logic is built from primary US sources — IRS publications, Social Security Administration, Department of Labor, Federal Reserve releases, and equivalent state agencies — not from secondary blogs.
② Annual and event-driven updates
Tax brackets, contribution limits, FICA wage bases, federal mileage rates, and similar figures are updated each tax year and whenever the IRS or Congress issues mid-year changes.
③ Cross-verification
Each calculator is cross-checked against the official IRS or agency tool (e.g. IRS Tax Withholding Estimator, SSA Quick Calculator) before publication and on a recurring schedule afterward.
